‘Bin Buddy’ grape trailers have been designed to work in conjuction with the Ashmore Engineering ‘Binmax’ Grape Trailer, though they may also be used independently.
Standard model: Used for direct transport of bins from vineyard to winery. Requires fork lift/front end loader for loading/unloading of bins.
Hydraulic 1 model: 1. Hydraulic mechanism is used to tilt trailer, allowing empty bins to be pulled onto trailer with winch. Trailer is then driven beside grape harvester, where the bin is filled directly from the harvester while in operation. 2. Once bin is full, hydraulic tilt mechanism allows bin to be independently off-loaded.
Hydraulic 2 model: Designed to minimise spillage in the offloading operation. This unit sits lower to the ground than Standard and Hydraulic 1 models. A second hydraulic cylinder pushes the bin off the trailer to minimise tilt of trailer during offloading. The lower tilt and hydraulic push enable a more precise and gentle offloading operation. Low height of unit enables independant loading of bins by simply reversing up to bin which slides onto the chassis.
