The Ashmore Engineering Urea Boom utilizes an existing air seeder cart to spread dry granulated urea in a very even spread over a wide swathe. The tendency of modern farming methods is to put only a limited amount of fertilizer with the grain at seeding time to hasten the seeding programme, and then to spread urea as the crop matures. Since this is often done just prior to a change in weather (utilizing the rain to wash the urea into the soil), windy conditions often prevail. This is where the effectiveness of the urea boom is apparent. The material is carried to a varying number of outlets along the length of the boom from where it is dispersed, thus giving the wind limited opportunity to affect the spread.
The Ashmore Engineering Urea booms' simple construction ensures user-friendly operation. Precision engineering ensures an extremely accurate spreading pattern.
